FISHING at FARMSTEAD?
YES!
FARMSTEAD has built 14 dams over the
past 3 years. We currently have 3 filled and stocked with trout
for your fly fishing adventure. We plan to make more available
in the next year. We are also in the process of planting trees
and grass and installing picnic tables at the dams to help make
your day as pleasant as possible.
We stock each lake late winter or spring
so that you will have a variety of sizes of fish to catch. We
began stocking fish last year (Spring 2000). The fish in the picture
below was caught in the first week of April 2001 and was 24 inches
long! A 27 inch trout was caught the first week of May. The fish
we stocked this spring are currently (April 2001) running from
10 to 14 inches and should be pushing 18 inches by the end of
summer.
We welcome guides, fly fishing instruction
trips and groups.

FARMSTEAD has 3 lakes open for fishing. The biggest trout caught
and released so far this year was just under 26 1/2 inches! We
have a introductory special on our catch and release fly fishing
this summer. We also have Fishing
