FINNEGAN PRESERVE

This 1280 acre preserve is located on a westerly draining canyon with nine shallow canyons that Y into it as it runs toward the Deschutes River. It is covered with unpastured grassland that borders several wheat fields. When hunting the Finnegan Preserve you are likely to flush coyotes, deer, antelope, bobcat and even the occasional elk. Sub-irrigated canyons grow diverse cover, 7 foot tall rye grass, massive sage and rabbit brush and native grasses, providing an additional level of excitement to your hunt. Your dogs will be able to cool off in spring and well fed ponds that are in several locations on this preserve. It is not uncommon to find hundreds...sometimes thousands of geese and ducks on these ponds in the late fall and winter. Members are able to take advantage of catch and release trout fishing on these ponds as well.
